Checklist of Online Course Design To-Do's

Print this list and complete for each course:

1. 1. Create Your Canvas Profile (Only have to do 1x.) 
   2. Create Syllabus and Post on Syllabus Tab
   3. Create Start Here Module
   4. Create Welcome Video (Post in Start Here Module)
   5. Create Video Overview of Course (Post in Start Here Module)
   6. Create these 2 discussions areas:
      • Discussion for General Questions
      • Discussion for Introductions
   7. Establish Communication Expectations (and communicate about them to students)
   8. Add Online Student Success Module to your course
   9. Clean Up Course Menu to Only Show Items You are Using
   10. Publish Your Canvas Course(s) (Spring Qtr 2020 - Publish by April 7)
   11. Create a Welcome Announcement in Canvas
   12. Create a Welcome Email & Send
